Remember those rumors about AEP merging with Entergy that were floated around the press earlier this year? Well, that's not going to happen now. Entergy made a deal last week with ITC Holdings Corp. in which it will divest itself of its transmission assets. All those snapping, buzzing, money-making transmission lines and AEP didn't get a single one. Big frowny face for AEP :-( !!! So, who's left on AEP's merger shopping list now? How about Dominion merging with AEP so that AEP's next transmission project in Virginia won't get back-stabbed by Dominion and end up on the cutting room floor at PJM? Sneaky, back-stabbing birds-of-a-feather are often very happy together... CommentsJustMe 12/13/2011 8:01pm
Hey Keryn and BH, just curious, how do Duke and Constellation fit into all this?

BTW, have a look at ITC Holdings and their ownership. Very world-wide - meaning out of our control as US citizens. Here is what anti-American might mean... As AEP and PJM screw up their credibility in the eyes of Americans,(and it IS happening) they become more vulnerable and dependant on foreign power. How much coal gets exported to India? How much Chinese technology is imported to build crappy EHV lnes and sub-par substations? THIS is supposed to be securing our country from dependence on slave level foreign production and product dumping????? Sorry to confuse the issue, but its important that parents get involvrf as much as possible. Points to those who can carry this topic further. Kinda kills the "support US economy and jobs" effort by big coal, huh?
