Representatives from the electric company??? What line of bull are they going to feed us? I got my bill yesterday, it's estimated (of course), says it will be estimated again next month. And their estimate is very much lower than what my meter reads so I'm going to have to do their job and send my reading in otherwise I'm going to get socked with a big bill.

They have been invited to our "open house." I have no idea what they will have to say for themselves. I only hope it's set to muzak, like my 29 minute wait to get my questions answered.

I guess it's not true that all the problems have been solved.

If all Potomac Edison's failures to read meters are caused by bad weather and unforeseen emergencies, how does Potomac Edison already know that they will be having an emergency the next time they're supposed to read Pam's meter?

The hard part of lying is that one little lie requires shoring up with additional support lies until so many lies have been told that the liar loses track of the plot. Ain't that right, Potomac Edison?

Is this for Jefferson County residents only?

Nope... this is for all Potomac Edison (or Mon Power) customers, no matter where they live! The meeting is open to the public.

My fiancé sent this new to me via email after I went nuts over our $547.00 bill for the month! I seriously doubt 2 people who work full time an a two year old are using such an extreme usage of power!! I reside in Berkeley Co. (Inwood). Is this for Jefferson Co. residence only? Are Berkeley Co. residence welcome to attend? If I'm aloud to attend, I would love to come and give a piece of my mind!! Thanks to all!! Take care!

Supposing all their explanations are valid, there is one question that I have not seen addressed. If they over estimate a bill for a month or two and the consumer pays that gives them a surplus of money on services not yet rendered. May be only a few dollars (or more) for each customer, but mulitiplied by tens of thousands of users, isn't this free money to manipulate that they don't have to pay interest on? Also, once they charged me a late fee on an estimated bill. I refused to pay and they did adjust the bill, but how many pay that with no questions asked. I can't make the meeting or I would ask in person but I hope these issues are addressed.

It is absolutely Highway Robbery....Criminal...Live like misers only to have a higher Bill...No, damn excuse for it....They did the same thing last yr. only I am thinking it was the March Bill. They got The Power? Right? So how long R we going to let them steal from us all? :( The less we use, the less it cost them. You think they R going for the ones of us that scrape & scrounge for a savings? So they have won in both directions....? So it seems........

I got my bill today and I was 516.00 for the month which was an "actual" reading. Last month the bill was 168.00 for an "estimate". There is only myself and my 14 yr old son living in my house..Both of us go to school and I work full time. How the Hell do we use 89664 hrs of electricity a month? I did my own math and we only use 884 hrs a month!! Hugh difference!!!! I called Potomic Edison and the representative cut me off mid-sentence to tell me that my bill had been estimated the past 3 months and now I have to pay the difference. Yea right! More like they are making up for what they lost last summer when everyone was without power.

Received $509, $660, $699 for Jan, Feb and March at a place that we are only at 2 days a week! Thermostat either set at 56 or lately turned off completely! Checked the meter while everything inside was turned off and it was spinning 100mph! ???????????????
